The reason for the unsteady deflection of the pressure gauge pointer

2022-10-22

The phenomenon that the pointer deflection of the pressure gauge is not stable can generally be divided into two situations. The first is that there is jitter when the pointer moves. There may be two reasons for this to happen:

(1) Dust enters the sector gear and pinion in the pressure gaugeor the sector gear is skewed, and the pointer shake can be eliminated by cleaning the stains or correcting the sector gear;

(2) The pointer of the pressure gauge is deformed and the pointer is in contact with the indexing plate. This problem can be solved by correcting the pointer axis so that the pointer and the indexing plate are no longer in contact; the second is that the pointer has a hysteresis when rotating and is accompanied by a sudden jump Phenomenon.

This problem can be caused by the following 5 reasons:

(1) Rust or dust enters between the transmission parts in the pressure gauge, causing the transmission mechanism to be stuck. At this time, it is necessary to rust the rusted parts and clean the stains. If some parts are seriously rusted and cannot be completely removed, the parts need to be replaced;

(2) The moving parts in the pressure gauge are too tight, resulting in poor movement. In this case, it is necessary to re-adjust the clearance between the transmission parts to an appropriate level, and add an appropriate amount of lubricant;

(3) The concentricity of the two sets of support holes between the upper and lower splints in the pressure gauge is poor, resulting in poor transmission performance of the mechanism. This kind of problem is usually caused by the difference in the length of different pillars in the table or the skew of the pillars caused by riveting. It can be solved by adding spacers at the pillars to make the lengths of the pillars converge;

(4) The small holes at both ends of the tie rod in the watch and the connection between them are improperly matched, causing the tie rod to be stuck. This kind of problem can be solved by adjusting the fit to restore the flexibility of the tie rod;

(5) The wheel diameter of the pressure gauge is different from the concentricity of the wheel shaft. This kind of failure is generally solved by correcting the axle.
